The EAA Institutional engineering team in the Enterprise Applications & Architecture organization needs a Salesforce Software Engineer for help supporting our Institutional Operations team. Your focus will be to improve the overall client onboarding and servicing experience by improving internal employees’ productivity, freeing their minds and time to focus on high-judgment tasks. Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications, integrations, and enhancements using Apex, Lightning Web Components and other related Salesforce technologies.
Develop integrations, API’s and other supporting architecture using non-Salesforce technologies
Collaborate with product managers, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on Salesforce and non-Salesforce best practices.
Design and implement data models, custom objects, workflows, and automation using declarative tools.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure high quality and performance.
Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using REST and related middleware tools.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and potential solutions.
Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Document technical designs, specifications, and development processes to ensure comprehensive understanding and maintainable solutions.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): To be completed by all business teams except Eng.
4+ years of software engineering experience with a deep understanding of back-end and front-end architectures and tech stacks.
1 year of experience as a Salesforce Developer with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce configuration.
Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST APIs, middleware tools, and ETL processes.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and demonstrate value.
Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II or Salesforce Certified Administrator, are highly desirable.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
Nice to haves:
Experience with branching strategies, version control, pipeline automation and orchestration with related tools like Github.
Experience working with a multi-org Salesforce implementation.
