Why we are hiring for this role:

Casa is looking for our first internal Accounting hire, a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. In this role, you will own our day-to-day accounting processes, financial reporting, and development of accounting procedures, to help the Casa team make high-velocity, data-driven decisions.

Your Team

Casa’s mission is to empower people to secure their digital sovereignty, and our Finance team supports and enables internal decision-making to achieve this mission. Our Finance team owns overall financial strategy, company-wide KPIs, audit and accounting, board and investor reporting, and business analysis. This role reports to our VP Finance.

What you’ll do:

Own our daily and periodic accounting processes, including month/quarter/year-end close, accounts payable and receivable, cash receipts, general ledger journal entries, cash forecasting, budget variance analysis, treasury account statement reconciliations, deferred revenue/revenue recognition schedules and reconciliations, stock options valuation and recording, and capitalized development and fixed asset schedulesProduce Casa’s financial reports and perform monthly reviews and flux analyses with the businessAdminister our financial tech stack, optimizing and improving where neededCoordinate and complete annual audits with our external firmEstablish and enforce proper internal accounting methods, policies, and principlesEnsure the organization complies with all income, sales, and payroll tax regulations and deadlinesDive in on ad-hoc financial projects, as needed

Who you are:

7-12 years of relevant, progressive accounting experience; Certified Public Accountant preferred but not requiredIdeally, you’ve worked at both a Big 4 firm and at an early-stage SaaS or consumer product startupYou have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy You are high-integrity, have an extreme attention to detail, and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skillsYou have a track record of building scalable processes to drive efficiencies, streamline accounting operations, and improve business outcomesYou are innately curious, like to challenge the status quo, and are always asking “why”You’re intimately familiar with Quickbooks and Excel, and have a working knowledge of (or are willing to learn) SQLYou are excited to wear multiple hats, and grow as our company grows

Compensation:

Base salary range of $111,150-$135,850 USDEquity range: 0.01-0.05%
