About the Role
Welcome to the rocket ship! This role will be tasked to find the balance between maintaining credit risk and providing affordable lending products to our customers. Additionally, this role will interact with some of the most innovative solutions in the lending industry and get to learn how to use data to drive strategies in the business. Come and ride with us!

Challenges You’ll SolveThe Intern assists with the development and implementation of solutions to influence business decisions for relevant line(s) of businessIdentifies and explores potential vendors/partners to enhance our existing processes and product offeringsEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlledApplies programming and analytical techniques to assess loan performance dataParticipates in the development and implementation of credit risk strategies as a team resourceUnder general supervision, analyzes credit trends or variances and provides results for root cause analyses
About YouPursuing an undergraduate/advanced degree (i.eMasters) at an accredited university with an expected graduation date of summer 2024 or later. Majoring in statistics, economics, finance or any other STEM disciplineGraduation date cannot be prior to the end of the internshipExperience supporting data driven strategyFoundational level of business acumen in the areas of the consumer finance, lending operations, and database analysisWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access or similar spreadsheet, presentation, word processing and database toolsGood analytical experience with high attention to detail and accuracyGood understanding of coding languages, such as SAS, SQL, Python, and RKnowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointStraightforward and concise in communication
