Meet the team behind this journey

DeepL is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to help manage and centralise communications throughout the company. DeepL has undergone rapid growth and has ambitious expansion plans ahead. With this, there is a growing need to ensure the right content reaches the right teams in the right place at the right time. Ensuring best practices and information flow across the organisation will be critical to our future success.


Your responsibilities

Build a global, cross-departmental strategy for internal communications at DeepL

Manage internal communications, including building and project managing a comms calendar

Liaise with stakeholders within each department to ensure central alignment on communications, and with PR and marketing teams to ensure internal/external consistency

Manage communications and internal activities around key ‘moments’ such as financial results

Coach and enable teams on best practices for internal communications systems, including email, Zoom and Slack

Run diagnostics and analysis on internal communication efficacy, proactively identify opportunities for improvement

Work flexibly and intuitively to lend expertise in line with changing business needs

Your success measures:

Smooth execution of internal communications calendar (once built and approved)

Launch of new communication channels/mechanisms, based on stakeholder needs

Employee NPS surveys, specifically on questions relating to communications and information flow

Time efficiency savings from implementing communications best practices

Improved project workflows from implementing best practices

Qualities we look for

Several years relevant experience in communications, preferably internal communications in scaleup SaaS environments, and in designing and implementing successful programs

Native-level fluency in English, preferably at least one additional language, especially German and/or Japanese

Demonstrated experience leading communications internationally, navigating cultural norms between Europe, the US and Asia

Excellent oral and written communication, tailoring to various audiences, and interpersonal skills including stakeholder management

Excellent project management skills including planning, problem-solving and deadline management

Bonus points for:

Demonstrated experience in visual design and video editing

Demonstrated experience leading communication skills training

Strong network of connections in AI, SaaS and language-tech industries
