Instructional Design Intern

Spring Health is looking for a 2024 Summer Intern to support our Operations Instructional Design team in designing and developing ongoing training and onboarding materials for multiple teams within Operations. The Instructional Design intern will work closely with the Senior Manager of Operations Enablement, the Senior Instructional Designer and subject matter experts to create engaging and effective learning resources that support onboarding and ongoing training. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in instructional design, allowing you to refine your skills and collaborate with experienced professionals.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

Partner with the Senior Instructional Designer and the Senior Manager of Ops Enablement to design and develop engaging training materials such as e-learning modules, videos and interactive presentations using industry-standard tools and adult learning principles.Work closely with Operations leadership and subject matter experts to ensure training materials meet operational requirements and confirm content accuracy. Review and revise existing training content to boost engagement and impact.Collect and analyze data related to learner engagement, performance, and feedback to make data-driven improvements to the training materials developed during internship period.Support the Senior Instructional Designer in developing bi-weekly newsletters for the teams within Operations.

 

What we expect from you:

Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or related field.Strong passion for learning and a keen interest in instructional design and adult learning principles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity.Basic understanding of project management concepts and ability to meet deadlines.Adaptability and willingness to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies.Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to design engaging and effective learning experiences.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.Creativity and an eye for visual design.Proficiency in using instructional design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Rise, Canva) is a plus.

 

The target pay for this position is $26/hr, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
