The General Ledger Staff Accountant is a key member of the finance and accounting team responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

What you’ll be doingGeneral Ledger Management:Record and maintain general ledger transactions accurately and in accordance with accounting principlesReconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepanciesMonth-End and Year-End Closing:Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare necessary journal entries and accruals to reflect accurate financial informationReconciliation:Perform detailed reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assetsInvestigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely mannerFinancial Reporting:Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing accurate and reliable dataGenerate financial reports for management reviewAudit Support:Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanationsEnsure compliance with audit requirements and address audit inquiriesCompliance:Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulationsStay informed about changes in accounting standards and recommend adjustments as neededProcess Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements in general ledger and accounting operationsContribute to the development and implementation of streamlined procedures

What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a staff accounting role with a focus on general ledger managementStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite ERPDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment

$63,000 – $72,500 a year

This range represents the total on target earnings. Base pay is just one component of the Company’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
