SitePoint: Ad Sales Executive

Sitepoint is looking for a new Ad Sales Executive with hustle and sh*t ton of motivation!
Firstly, a bit about us…
SitePoint is one of the OGs of the first Internet era. We started it back in March 2000. SitePoint has serious mojo!
We reach over 13 million visitors (web professionals) every year (82% organic / 14% direct) – we have over 168,000 pages indexed in google – 64,500 referring domains – 10.8 million backlinks -and our domain authority is off the charts! We also have over 497,000 active subscribers to our weekly email newsletters, 116,000 Twitter followers, and 266,500 forum members.
What we’ve built at is a brand and community amongst web enthusiasts, and a consistent stream of people eager to learn who come to us for the latest tutorials, tools, and resources to stay ahead of the game. 17,000 members pay for an annual or monthly subscription to access our e-learning platform “SitePoint Premium” plus 266,500 free accounts.
We’re also bootstrapped and profitable… We know, it’s almost unheard of these days! We’ve been in business for over 23 years, and we’re not planning on stopping anytime soon.

By the way, we also started (sold to VistaPrint), (#1 marketplace in the world for buying and selling online businesses), and are both angel investors in many successful tech startups (jump on LinkedIn).
What we’re after…
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate that they can prospect leads and make outbound sales. You won’t just be starting from scratch….Sitepoint has done advertising campaigns with some of the world’s biggest companies like AWS, Adobe, Atlassian, Gitlab,, Digital Ocean, and many others
What’s in it for you?
You’ll work closely with the General Manager to develop new sales strategies, new types of sponsorships, and any other revenue-generating ideas!
You’ll be able to work from anywhere in the world.. We’re scattered across the globe and work mostly async. You’ll get to do full cycle sales, including prospecting, closing, managing the accounts, and securing renewals.
Let’s talk money…. it’s uncapped!
There’s a lot of untapped revenue here that we haven’t put the right resources into yet. That’s why we need you. And that’s why we’re offering an uncapped commission structure. We are happy to work out some kind of draw against a commission (maybe $1,000-$2,000 USD per month) so that you’re able to put some money in your pocket right away. But the right candidate will be entrepreneurial and motivated by the uncapped commissions, not someone who wants to sit back and take a paycheck.
The hiring process…
Start out by filling out this Google form:
As part of the application, we’ll ask you to write out an email sequence to a potential lead. You’ll write an initial outreach email and 1-2 follow-ups. This will be in the 2nd round of interviews.
Over the next 1-2 weeks, we will start reaching out to candidates that seem like a good fit. A call with the General Manager and then potentially with one of the owners and you’ll be off to the races! We plan to hire quickly for this position.
