Regulatory Compliance Manager

We help CPAs get their continuing professional development (CPD) hours through engaging podcasts with business leaders (the CFOs of Slack, Shopify, Yelp, Yahoo!, TD Bank, and Wealthsimple just to name a few). CPD/CPE is the yearly required learning that CPAs generally dread doing. They’re tired of dealing with boring webinars, irrelevant content and product experiences that are out-of-date. That’s why they’ve flocked to LumiQ and our mission to make professional learning enjoyable. 

With 600+ companies signed up, and 300% YoY growth, we’re at the precipice of launching a global movement that’s going to massively change the professional education and podcasting industries. We’ve also recently expanded into the US market and we’re seeing wonderful early signs of traction.

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure our CPD/CPE podcasts comply with all regulatory bodies across Canada and the US. This role will be responsible for making sure our library stays up to date and relevant with changing standards and trends in the accounting industry, along with owning applications and relationships with the state bodies. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting industry or compliance expertise in a creative and impactful way.


WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORManage Federal and State Applications: Ensure compliance with country and state CPD/CPE regulations, including submitting required applications and tracking all application statuses and upcoming deadlines in our project management system.  Montior Content Library: Ensure all episodes are accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. Review and editing/archiving outdated content and add relevant replacements to our content roadmap. Don’t worry, no previous editing experience required!Produce Compliance Related Episodes: Create, review and update state regulatory ethics episodes to ensure they meet all compliance standards. Your level of involvement can range from scripting and producing the episodes to potentially hosting (if interested).Content Roadmap Creation: Assist content leadership in creating the content roadmap to include updates, changes and trends in the accounting industry. Ensuring our Platform is Compliant: Work with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure our offerings are compliant in all geographies we serve. Be the Compliance-Go-To: Answer compliance related questions from our clients and customer facing teams. Maintain Internal Knowledge Documentation: Ensure all of our internal documentation is kept up to date for our sales and client facing teams to reference.

WHO YOU ARE Experience working in CPD/CPE or compliance related industries is ideal. Designated CPA: You have a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CIA, or Enrolled Agent) with a deep understanding of accounting and audit standards. Highly Organized: You excel in managing multiple tasks and projects, ensuring everything is tracked and completed efficiently. Proactive Problem Solver: You anticipate issues before they arise and suggest effective solutions. Strong Collaborator: You work effectively with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration. Detail Oriented: You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring all content is accurate, relevant, and engaging. Adaptable and Open-Minded: You are open to experimenting with new processes and continuously improving team workflows.

This is a flexible hybrid role based out of Toronto, Canada. Employees will be expected to be able to commute to the office 1-2 times per week.
