Job title: PDE Model Application Developer
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated PDE Model Application Developer to join its Algorithms R&D department. This developer will help derive, develop, explore and test real-world partial differential equation (PDE) models in the field of electromagnetics.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for partial differential equations and will possess excellent knowledge in electromagnetics, the finite method and computer-aided engineering.
Research electromagnetic PDE models
Implement electromagnetics PDE models
Document electromagnetic PDE models
Help customers with their PDE models
Give presentations on PDE models
Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Master’s degree in computer science, math, physics or a related field
Proven Mathematica programming skills
Good understanding of PDEs, especially in the field of electromagnetism
Expertise in finite element analysis
Experience with a CAD system
Location: Fully remote and seeking candidates from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Armenia, Turkey, India and Morocco
Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
Salary: Dependent on location, candidate’s background and experience
Reporting to: Manager of Numerical Computation
