Role: Manufacturing Industry Leader, United States and Canada (USC)

As the Manufacturing Industry Leader at dss+, you’ll spearhead regional sales, revenue, and EBITDA growth. Your primary focus will be commercial sales executive, understanding and addressing the business challenges of client executives in leading organizations within the manufacturing sector, crafting tailored solutions to facilitate their transformational journey.

You will have a strategic and client facing role across the consulting value chain, from leading business development efforts, and some project delivery) and key account development. You will also be the regional thought leader responsible to help shape and drive our Manufacturing Industry strategy in collaboration with our Practice Delivery Teams.

As the leader of the Manufacturing industry team in the USC (United States and Canada) market, you are expected to grow revenue and EBITDA in the Manufacturing industry and collaborate with thought leaders to innovate our approach to deliver value for our clients. You will develop and engage a team of dss+ Managers and Consultants with a strong focus on client deliver within a high-performance work culture. You will also participate in the dss+ Global Manufacturing Industry Team which drives collaboration across the regions.

In addition to being the USC Manufacturing Industry Team leader, support other industry teams with business development efforts based on your background and experience: Mining & Metals, Private Equity, Oil & Gas being the top priorities
Participate in acquisition targeting and integration of new businesses in the region

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate experience and capabilities aligned to the following:

Extensive experience selling management consulting or professional services in the Manufacturing Industry.
Current knowledge of select sub sectors in the Manufacturing industry: key trends, major players in the market, key risks, challenges, and value drivers.
Proven expertise in management consulting, especially tailored towards the manufacturing sector with a track record of hands-on experience delivering consulting and professional services to executives within this industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry solutions/best practices in operational risk, operational excellence, or sustainability practice lines.
Bring existing relationships with relevant senior leaders in USC targeted industries.
Direct experience (>15 years) in delivering growth and key services in transforming companies.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the C-suite, showcasing a history of successfully driving business development, solution crafting, and delivering high-value consulting services to top-tier manufacturing industry executives.
Demonstrated experience coaching, leading, and developing sales talent.
Entrepreneurial spirit, outcomes focused, thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.


Report directly to USC regional Managing Director accountable to develop and lead the USC Manufacturing Industry team focused on business development, go to market strategy in support of regional business growth.
Collaborate with the global Manufacturing network contributing to thought leadership, offerings and methodologies bringing global best practices into the USC market and clients.
Provide support where required on business assessments and implementation engagements.
Be a trusted advisor with senior client executives and maintain relationships in alignment with the account team to deepen and expand relationships.
Participate and contribute to internal and external industry networks with the aim of developing new business collaborating with USC Marketing Team.

Working Experience

Technical knowledge and experience in supporting clients on sustainability transformational journeys including setting strategies, developing operational roadmaps, integrating into business units and functions, and supporting implementing.
Strong understanding and conversant with clients across dss+ methodologies.
Proven track record in management consulting and individual business development success.
Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing.
Solid technical and business / commercial acumen.
Effective leadership skills to lead dss+ internal teams and client executives.
Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior client executive levels with demonstrated history of account revenue growth.

Qualifications / Expertise

Bachelor’s in science, engineering or business, MBA, MS preferred.
Ideal candidate will have a mix of industry and consulting background.

15+ years of professional experience in management consulting.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-working attitude
Able to work in with fast-paced, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
Travel required
